Pocatello ID
Description
Looking for ACOUSTIC ONLY Early American Roots musicians. Me: I'm a NON DRINKER, NON SMOKER, DRUG FREE, general player of primarily Tenor Guitar, Tenor Banjo, Tenor and Baritone Ukulele, Harmonica and percussions. I'm from the Southern Appalachia Mountains of the Great Smoky Mountain region of Western North Carolina. I lean heavily towards a mountain folkish and bluesy style. Incorporating many of the Old Time and early black spirituals such as "This Train, Down To The River To Pray, Ain't No Grave" and so on. I've an amazing amount of pro level rehearsal, live stage, and recording equipment. Most of which is in a stage of storage at this time awaiting me getting settled good in Pocatello. I'm extremely passionate about the Early American Roots approach in pursuit of simplicity and soulfulness rather than being seen. It's about the music first. Absoluteness is not the point. From the heart and soul is CRITICAL! YOU: Of similar mindset willing to put in the effort. It takes time and the willingness to just be about the song. Hot heads, egos, drunks and druggies need not bother. I've a strong feeling that there are more here that have been ISO the same. The sound and feel I ensue and am looking to achieve is at this time, not in these parts much at all. NO. I am not a Bluegrasser. Sorry. VERY SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE. And that's not to say that you have to be an incredibly talented, skilled, and or experienced player. Musicians that see music as a competition usually don't gel well with me. True blue Roots style musicianship is of the spirit of family oriented mindset that has been imparted one to another primarily on the porch and social gatherings consisting of an all ages family friendly environment. There will be a few who get the true jest of my approach. Those who get it, please call or text . Again. I'm new to Pocatello and am not entirely settled in and setup to full potential. But some time put in porch or park bench picking for now might well go a long way towards a positive end result. As aforementioned, I'm a general player with the less is more belief at heart. However. I am no noobie by any stretch of the imagination. I'm extremely well travelled and highly fortunate of the players I've musically fellowshipped with over the years. "I'm not incredible and neither are you. But the music can be". Oh yeah. I'm quite fond of and equally knowledgeable in regard to Resonator instruments Got a good one? Yay. Bring it. Biscuit bridges are BOSS !!!
