Discount Direct Furniture and Mattress in Lakewood, WA is searching for a individual who wants to work at a busy store who has warehouse experience and skills. If you enjoy wearing multiple hats and stay busy with merchandise assembly, custodial, warehouse and customer service- this is the job for you! In this role you will be: Building furniture for displays Wrapping, loading and unloading product Pulling orders and assisting with inventory Keeping work area clean and tidy Replenishes supplies of soap, paper towels and other dispensable items Cleaning restrooms Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors Wipe down and dusting counters and table tops Gathers and disposes of trash, washes wastebaskets and large refuse containers, and relines with plastic bags Performs other related work as required and assigned. Qualifications: Basic hand tool experience Customer service experience 6+ months of warehouse experience is a plus! Physical Work Environment: This position generally works alone, but will have contact with Sales staff, clients and the general public. Work is performed inside a building. It is essential to be able to stand and walk for long periods of time; to bend and reach; and to lift, pull or push objects weighing up to 100 pounds. Position is expected to perform duties in a safe manner. It is occasionally necessary to climb ladders. There is exposure to cleaning chemicals and dust.
