I am a Groundlings (from Hollywood to Herndon) Alumni, and I am offering a Basic Level Improvisation Comedy Course - 12 sessions at 90 minutes per session. 12 sessions for $450. No prior experience is necessary for these fun, relaxed introductions to some of the skills of improvised comedy. Meet new people, learn games & exercises and share 90-minutes of laughs each time you join us. This basic improv class is also good for people who need/want a change a pace from their everyday life/work, etc., and wants to experience a fun class to offset a serious career/job, etc., This course will introduce students to the fundamental concept of “Yes, And” in improvisation. Through group exercises and games, students will explore impulse & spontaneity, listening, being present in the moment, taking risks, finding agreement (making & accepting offers) and other basic building blocks of improvisation, all in a supportive environment that embraces the idea of trusting yourself and taking chances. Kindly ignore the dates of classes up above as these dates and times are "to be determined" but I will offer once per week classes, twice per week classes and three times per week classes. We can figure out which schedule is best for you. Soon I will offer advanced improv comedy classes such as level one, which will require an audition into level one and/or successfully passing Basic Improvisation, level two, level three and a sketch writing course. *Due to current COVID-19 protocols, you must show proof of vaccination upon signing up for classes.
