I posted this last year but I had a lot going on so I'm hoping to give this another try. I'll soon be 44 and last October I was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer. I have one item on my bucket list and it's fairly simple, I want to live out my rock and fantasy AND make it an event who the proceeds go to cancer research. I am not looking for pity or money, but I just wanted to be straight up.I am a singer as well as guitar player but I sold all my gear due to my health. I'm looking for a band to do some covers and I could sing them, I call the event "Covers for Cancer". Music wise I'm looking to do rock/hard rock/stoner rock kind of stuff and maybe a few acoustic rock songs sprinkled in. I am currently finishing my last rounds of chemo and it trashes my vocal chords but I am looking to do something in late October/early November. By then I should have things in my life in order by then. I have a short list of a few songs I'm interested in but if your band has a list of songs you can perform already we can look at it together. If nothing comes out of this I'm perfectly ok with it. But I would like to take a negative and make something positive out of it. Thank you for taking the time to look this over.
