Opportunities to have more hours for the right candidate. Hours: M, TH, F or M, T, W (3 days a week) flexible on the three days chosen but must be the same days every week. Three days during the week 6:30am-1:30pm Saturday-6:30am-8:30am Sundays-8:00am-10:00am Responsibilities: • Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion • Estimate time and extent of repairs • Perform routine preventive maintenance • Maintain material and supply inventory • Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary • Maintain building operations and ensure that the facilities are safe and functional at all times. • Trim bushes, touch-up paint, upkeep property, clean windows, clean and keep organization of designated work areas, manage routine maintenance and upkeep of building and emergency repairs to prevent and resolve safety or comfort issues, install new equipment and oversee building upgrades according to management requests and preserve the facility. Sweep/shovel/salt sidewalks etc. Take Garbage out of cans and switch out dumpsters. Sweep garbage/glass as needed. Daily stuff. • Restock inventory daily. Qualifications: • English speaking. • This position requires at least a high school diploma or an equivalent degree such as a GED. • Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment • Ability to handle physical workload, lift at least 50lbs • Deadline and detail-oriented • A positive personality and a self-starter (a must) • Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems (a plus) • Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity, (a plus) • Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building (a must) • Groundskeeping- work with lawns or other outdoor areas in need of maintenance • Interpersonal skills to interact with employees and residents of the buildings in a pleasant manner • Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked • Physical stamina to handle a shift of being active and working on the building.
