POSITION: Band Saw Operator SHIFT: 7:30am-4:15pm Monday thru Friday PAY: $16-18/hr. DOE LOCATION: Tampa, FL SUMMARY Sets up and operates band saws in cutting off pieces and preparation for subsequent use in manufacturing. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Must have the skill and knowledge of the different characteristics of working with different types of foam. Ability to read blueprints efficiently and accurately. Ability to follow work instructions and document accurately. High attention to detail to produce quality equipment with no defects. SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS Accountable for all concerns within their scope of work and has the absolute responsibility to remedy, report, and/or communicate any issue to managers, supervisors, safety, or environmental managers as appropriate. Follows all safe work practices, watches out for fellow workers, and keeps their work area clean. Ensures the area remains compliant regarding hazardous waste, non-hazardous waste, and universal waste. The following personal protective equipment is required and must be worn while working in the manufacturing facility or customers’ facilities: Appropriate clothing and other safety equipment as required.
