This scholarship is made possible through the charitable gifts from members and corporations in the community. The scholarship award was created to ensure the continuation of LGBTQ+ individuals valuing education, as well as other pathways to prepare individuals for future employment. It is the desire of the Akron AIDS Collaborative/Family Black Pride to empower individuals by assisting them with their continued education or training.
