Odin is a 7 year old doberman. a very sweet loving dog. He loves cats and chasing chickens. He's very protective of his family and friends. I'll be very particular with who he goes with, he does have some bad habits. He loves to run, hike, camp, sit on laps, and play with cats. Not big on water or swimming. He has always been an only dog, and has bit smaller dogs when they were brought to his house. He does fine with other dogs on walks. He's played with my kids since they were babies, but has also nipped a neighbor kid who stepped on his paw. He plays with the chickens in the backyard and never attacked or killed one. He's also nipped at me when I was playing freeze tag with my kids and my daughter screamed. not food aggressive with the cats, kids, or me, but has growled at friends coming over when they get close to his food. He does OK in a crate for short periods but does not like it He is very protective of his family and Once he knows he can trust you, you'll be his best friend. He will thrive with more attention. Even at 7 he loves learning and just wants to please. Knows basic commands, but I mostly just talk to him like a person and he listens. once he trusts you he'll really learn your body language and tone and he catches on quick. He's a very good dog. He is an inside dog. Does not like being outside by himself for long periods of time. Prefers to be on the couch. I ask that he goes to an active/outdoor family. Preferably as an only dog with no kids for the aforementioned reasons, but it's not out of the question as he's been great with the family kids. Unfortunately due to family circumstances and breed restrictions I can either keep my kids or my dog. I will not be asking for a rehoming fee, but will be very particular with where he goes.
