Devotion to Writing workshops get you writing, deeply and more freely than you've ever written before. Using prompts and teachings, I help you connect to the source of energy and abundance within you that sustains your work and life. I've been teaching DTW for ten years. The ideas come from my own experiences as a writer and artist working for 30+. The ideas and practices which I still lean on to get me writing and keep me writing, I share with you over four days. Devotion to Writing eliminates the fears and doubts which paralyze and silence us before we even begin. Breaking the silence of the page over and over, we establish a daily habit of writing, a practice, to which we are devoted. Devotion is defined as a coming to Love. In this sense, Devotion to Writing is a coming to love writing. Along the way, we come to love the process, and our relationship to the mystery of making, as well as honoring and loving ourselves as creators of, not only of words but, our lives. Mattew Kelly wrote, we become what we celebrate. We will become writers by celebrating and communing daily through writing.
