Operation American Soldier (OAS) exists to support and encourage the Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen/Women of the United States Armed Forces. They make sure that no one walks away from mail call empty-handed. As long as there are wars/conflicts in which our troops serve, Operation American Soldier will ship cheer boxes to ensure that every soldier feels loved, supported, and appreciated. OAS was created by John and Wendy Rocca when their daughter Tracy was in Iraq in 2003. After hearing that some of the other soldiers weren’t receiving any support from home, they wanted to help. They asked for some names and addresses to ship to. Each box contained a letter from Wendy and John asking if there were any other soldiers that need support. Well, the list of soldiers grew and grew, and their home operation has turned into an effective and efficient Non-profit operation based out of 215 Mt. Auburn Street in Watertown, MA.
