Join Pinelawn Memorial Park And Arboretum for its 5th Annual Ladybug Release event as we demonstrate the use of integrated pest management to control a common pest, the Aphid. At this popular free kid-friendly event, Pinelawn explains how Aphids cause harm to the health of a variety of plant material and how we can control their population by introducing their natural predator, the Lady Beetle (also known as the Ladybug). This is a fun, hands-on event as guests release over 400,000 ladybugs in Pinelawn’s rose gardens. Each child can create a ladybug craft to take home and explain all they have learned. This is a FREE event, but registration is required. The event will be held at Pinelawn's Rose Garden located at the Reception Office. When attending the event, enter the park through East Gate 3.
