Description

IT'S OKAY NOT TO BE OKAYAs one of the only predominantly African American counseling centers in the metropolitan Dallasarea, the Eldred McClean Counseling Center's intent is to sponsor such an event for the community focusing on available mental health resources. As we know, mental health has been a very hot topic in the national andlocal spotlight. Celebrities and sports figures have discussed their mental health and attending therapy is starting to become more common in lesser represented segments (i.e., black males under 45). However, there are many others who are suffering in silence and not knowing where to turn. Here's a look at the event's agenda: 8:30a.m.-9:00a.m. - Registration/Exhibit Booths Open 9:00a.m.-9:15a.m. - Opening 9:15a.m.-10:00a.m. - Workshop 1 10:10a.m. - 11:30a.m - Therapy Sessions 11:30a.m. - 12:15p.m. - Lunch 12:15p.m. - 1:00p.m. - Workshop 2 1:00p.m. - 2:00p.m. - Closing Presentation REGISTRATION TICKET REQUIRED Become an ExhibitorIf you have a private counseling practice or manage an individual or group therapy program through your church or community organization and are interested in being an exhibitor, we still have space. The cost of an exhibit booth is $200 and includes one skirted table and two chairs.
