Taylor, Texas. October 2022. Get on the grid and gear up for the City of Taylor’s 9th annual motoring festival, The Main Street Car Show, when hundreds of classics, hot rods, sports cars, customs, muscle cars, vintage trucks and motorcycles will again line the historic downtown streets. This major family friendly event is scheduled for Saturday October 29th, with live music from regional bands playing all day, craft, automotive, food and beverage vendors, new car dealer displays, and a chance to enjoy all of Taylor’s vibrant downtown shops, restaurants, bars, galleries and skate park. The Main Street Car Show runs from 10am – 4pm on Saturday, October 29th. Admission is free to the general public and visitors can look forward to an astonishing showing of vehicles, including some of the world’s rarest and finest motorcars. Last year’s event attracted over 500 car entries and organizers are gearing up for even more this year. Past highlights have included a 1937 SS100 Jaguar that won First In Class at the famous Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, supercars like a show-stopping McLaren, a 1963 NCRS Top Flight award winning Corvette and an original 1906 Detroit Electric. Taylor has a flourishing music scene and car show spectators will enjoy live music all day from the Amphitheater in downtown Heritage Square. The musicians performing for the the Main Street Car Show include Honey Made, The Blaggards, Mandy Murray Luke, Shame On Me and Mike Elliott as Elvis. Visit the main event page found on the City of Taylor's website for the full schedule. Cars begin being processed into the venue starting at 7am and vehicles are encouraged to be in place by 9am. All makes and models are welcome, car clubs and individuals, with awards celebrating over 15 categories. The award ceremony is scheduled for 3.40pm. Advance registration is $15, or $25 on the day.
