Hike the woods and fire trails of the Leona Greenbelt in East Oakland to see Leona Mine, Leona Creek, Leona Hotel site, Leona trolley line end point, and relics of industrial activity and redwood lumbering in early days. Hike has its ups and downs, but rewards with breathtaking views. Wear sturdy shoes; moderately difficult walk, steep downhill section. Bring water, snack, and binoculars or camera.
