Brent Redmond Transportation, Inc is looking for a full time handyman/maintenance employee to join our team. Part-Time or Full-Time with benefits, You Choose. $18.00 per hour to start. Call Ann in HR for more information 831-637-5342 ext. 320 Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, this position performs basic preventative and routine maintenance on building and vehicles Shop Duties: - Assists with maintenance of the Brent Redmond Fleet including tractors and trailers. Daily inventory of trailers and equipment - check fluid levels, inspect for damage, and repair as needed - Daily pre-use inspections of all equipment before use - forklift, pallet jacks, hand tools, etc - Monitor trash and recycle containers in yard, warehouse, and office - Keep warehouse clean organized Run errands for building and vehicle parts & supplies. - Keep sidewalks, parking area, and truck yard clean - Repair and maintain snow chains and load locks - Maintain cooler, keep clean and organized, notify management if not cooling properly - Help with communication installations and maintenance - Replace lighting around facility as needed - Appropriately handle and use all testing tools and repair equipment. Wear personal protective gear (PPE) as required - Report all damages and technical defects to the Maintenance Manager - Complete all tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager within specific time limits Qualifications - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one (1) year of experience in repair and maintenance of a variety of automotive or mechanical equipment preferred - Must be 18 or over and possess a valid CA Class C driver's license (Must have a clean record) - Maintain current forklift certification - Basic computer skills including email, internet navigation - Ability to work regularly scheduled shifts and overtime as needed
