This free, informational event from 3 to 4 pm offers prospective volunteers an overview of our program and requirements, as well as the opportunity to meet staff and tour current exhibits. Volunteer positions feature in-depth training, flexible schedules and benefits including free memberships, store discounts, volunteer outing invitations and more. Current openings include: • Gallery Guides & Assistants to lead field trip & group tours • Presenters to lead classroom programs for field trip tours • Greeters to welcome visitors to the museum • Events staff to work at Museum-hosted events No experience necessary — all volunteer positions feature in-depth training and offer parking, public transit and ridesharing reimbursement. FAQs What are the requirements for becoming a volunteer at the California Museum? Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and complete a background check.
