Man Shot In Suburban Pittsburgh Church Parking Lot

GREEN TREE, PA — Three men were arrested Tuesday in connection with a shooting that occurred in the parking lot of the Unity Presbyterian Church on Greentree Road. The victim, a 21-year-old male, was shot in an apparent robbery attempt. The victim was found bleeding profusely but will survive his injuries, according to Allegheny County police. He is not affiliated with the church. According to police, the suspects attempted to unsuccessfully rob the victim of his motor vehicle, and the victim was shot during the incident. Detectives are investigating the possibility the shooting was not random and the unidentified victim might have been set up by the suspects. Arrested were Scottie Harris, 21; Jamere Blackwell, 20 and Sequawon Harris, 22. All have been charged with criminal attempt homicide, aggravated assault, robbery of a motor vehicle, recklessly endangering another person, criminal conspiracy and firearms-act releated charges. The suspects are being held in the county jail.
