Description
WORCESTER, MA — A virtual public workshop collecting feedback about Worcester's long-range master plan will be held Thursday evening, giving residents the opportunity to debate ideas about housing, transportation and much more.
The Worcester Now | Next plan is being formed now, and the final document — which will be published in about a year — will guide the city's growth and development over the next several decades.
"The hope is that we really connect with residents throughout the city to garner ideas about what we want the next decade to look like for Worcester," Guillermo Creamer, the Now | Next project's community organizer, told Patch in May.
The first workshop gathering public feedback for the plan was held in person last month and about 70 residents turned out. Organizers are hoping for a larger turnout at the virtual hearing that starts at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. The event will have ESL and Spanish language interpreters on hand for multilingual residents.
