I am hiring two coaching positions to help with the Waukesha County Fair From July 20-24 for an axe throwing booth. The hours of the fair are: Wednesday, July 20............ 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm Thursday, July 21.................... 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm Friday, July 22......................... 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm Saturday, July 23.................... 10:00 am - 10:00 pm Sunday, July 24...................... 10:00 am - 8:00 pm Shifts will be split, so the first shift on Wednesday will start at 11 am and end at 7:30 pm. The second shift will start at 2:00 pm and end at 10:30 pm. Employees will be expected to work 8 hours a day with a 30 minute lunch break. You will need to arrive one hour prior to the fair hours for the first shift and can expect to stay 30 minutes after the fair closes to help with packing up for the second shift. Employees should expect to work 40 hours or less, depending on their availability. Here are the basic responsibilities for the two positions. Also, worth saying explicitly because county fairs are notorious for under the table gigs, this is a W2 position and pay will be processed via check and direct deposit. Axe Throwing Coach - $12+/hour - Pay will be based on previous coaching and/or customer service experience Make sure folks follow the rule while throwing axes, and help train folks how to throw an axe. Training is provided and prior coaching and/or customer service experience is helpful. Some maintenance of the targets will be a part of this role, including but not limited to lifting and installing 4' long 2x10's and painting target lines.
