Looking for an Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join their Fear Free® Certified Small Animal General Practice. Schedule: Full-time opportunity, 4/10’s with occasional Saturdays. Compensation: Starting at $19/hr. Pay dependent on experience. Location: 27045 174th Pl SE, Covington, WA 98042 VCA Covington Animal Hospital is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Assistant (minimum 1 year) to join an amazing group of people who share a passion for animals, and love what they do! VCA Covington Animal Hospital is a Certified Fear Free Practice as well as AHAA accredited. All of our employees are provided the necessary tools and training to complete all the levels of the fear free training program to become fear free certified professionals. Through the training program you will become part of a team that share the common goal of providing a fear, anxiety, and stress free environment for people and their four legged family members. As a member of the VCA Covington team, you will support the Technician and Doctor team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to: Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures. Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals. Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law). Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging. Providing compassionate care for our hospitalized animals. Maintaining medical records.
