What we do: We are the first Bird Hotel in the Bay Area in a commercial setting offering exclusive Bird boarding services. The mission of the Hotel is to provide a unique and caring environment that supports and nurtures the enjoyment, comfort and well-being of every bird in our care. It is our commitment to deliver peace of mind when people are traveling and have to leave their feathered friends in the care of the Hotel. We create that home away from home and we are happy to welcome guests of all bird species from Canaries to Macaws and everything in between. We are located in South San Francisco, 3.5 miles north of San Francisco International Airport. The Hotel is experiencing exponential growth and we are working to build up a team of dedicated care takers able to work flexible hours all year round. Our guests are truly demanding and regardless of weekends or holidays the cages have to be cleaned and the food has to be served. We are dealing with an average of 60 to 100 cages on a daily basis depending on the season of the year. Responsibilities: • daily cage cleaning routine • Food preparation/ food serving • Keeping the bird rooms clean and presentable • Assisting in guest check-ins and check-outs • Playtime with the birds We are looking for people with: - Experience in handling pet parrots - large or small - Interested in working with birds and their behavior (socialization and play) - Reliable, honest and genuinely interested in animals and our mission - Available to work in different shifts (breakfast or dinner routine) - Flexible schedule (Mon-Fri or weekends) - Self-starter and able to work independently - Team player We have morning, evening and weekend shifts available.
