Full Time Heavy Duty Shop Manager Rivers Edge Truck and Trailer Repair is seeking Full Time Shop Manager for our growing heavy duty truck and trailer repair facility. Along with inshop service we provide 24 hr towing and roadside assistance. We are looking for an individual with a service background who has hands-on experience with heavy duty diesel vehicles. We use the Full Bay system for our garage needs. Knowledge of garage software helpful, training will be provided as needed. Great opportunity for the right person. Candidates must be able to speak, read and write in English, Spanish is a plus. Responsibilities include: • Supervise and have open communication with mechanics • Maintain courteous communication with customer on the status of their repair • Maintain open communication with Parts Clerk: backup for parts clerk as needed • Schedule preventative maintenance for company trucks • Respond to company driver requests for repairs on a daily basis • Create Quotes and write up Repair Orders in a timely manner for customers • Schedule incoming jobs and disburse to mechanics • Have the flexibility to incorporate emergency repairs into the daily work schedule • Use Purchase Order System in Full Bay to track all parts for the jobs • Approve all completed service orders for billing on a daily basis through our Full Bay system • Follow Up on any repair order that is not complete; know the status of all repair orders • Submit backup documentation to customers as needed for inspections,etc • Schedule off site repairs with selected customers; followup with recommendations • Inspect and road test vehicles upon completion of work to ensure quality of service • Answer incoming service and towing calls • Dispatch mechanics for road calls and towing calls during the day • Maintain safe, clean and organized shop
