The Constitution doesn't discriminate on the basis of the class or category of firearms. It affords legal citizens the right to bear arms...... "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Those intent on killing people will do so with handguns, long rifles, shot-guns, as well as automatic or semi-automatic weapons. Outlawing "guns" or outlawing "assault rifles" will not prevent criminals from acquiring those weapons thru illicit channels, the black market, or from improvising and creating such weapon independently. The assassin who killed former Japanese PM Abe fabricated or created a home-made shot-gun, the weapon that inflicted the mortal wound. Prickster and Dirtbin turn a cold shoulder to Afro Americans, Negroes, and other poor urban residents who are being gunned down nightly and on weekends in Chicago. They are being killed thru handguns, semi-auto loaders, rifles, assault rifles, you name it. Lightfoot, Prickster, Dirtbin haven't done a thing to address the thousands of urban residents killed each year in Chicago due to a firearm. Prickster doesn't see the forest from the trees.....he is a duplicitous demagogue interested only in disarming those who oppose his governance and rule.
