Description
I'm rehoming my approximately one year old hedgehog with her massive cage, heat lamps, thermostats that plug into the heat lamps, temp gauges, her hedgie appropriate wheel that was purchased from Etsy (I believe it's called a Storm Wheel), all her toys and food dishes as well as her blankets that she loves to sleep under and a few months worth of food. I use washable cage liners and I will include one with her cage and can give you a link to purchase more. It easily washes in the washing machine. I also have a Hedgehog Running Club odometer for her wheel that I purchased but never set up that I can give you. She eats cat kibble, Stella & Chewys freeze dried cat food, freeze dried meal worms and Mazuri omnivore food all mixed together. Everything you need for her is included. The cage is big enough for the rest of her life.
She hates being handled and will huff at you but has never bitten anyone. Ever. She lets me bathe her and clip her nails begrudgingly...but still won't bite.
She doesn't seem fond of treats and has never taken one out of my hand. She also doesn't care for any kind of wet food. She's incredibly picky.
I purchased her last August at a reptile expo for $200 and then spent another $400-$500-ish on her accessories and cage. I'm asking a rehoming fee of $200 for the hedgie and all included accessories and cage. If you don't need the cage and accessories and just want the hedgehog I'll lower the rehoming fee.
She's perfect for someone who doesn't mind a grumpy roommate. She's healthy and hasn't had any health issues in my care. I travel back and forth to Florida and it's too much to leave her home while I'm gone. It's better that she finds a home where someone will be with her all the time and can give her more of their time.
