Ayreheart, a progressive folk trio, will perform on Friday, August 12, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Spirit Center at Glen Mar Church. Admission is free. Visit www.glenmarumc.org/summerconcerts for more information. Ayreheart was founded by lutenist Ronn McFarlane in 2010. The trio will play McFarlane’s original music, as well as Renaissance and Celtic songs. McFarlane’s goal in forming Ayreheart was to revive the lute’s glory days of centuries ago and also to put the music in a modern context.
