BEYOND URGENT!! PLEASE GO ASAP TO SAVE A LIFE!! BOTH DOGS WILL BE EUTHANIZED ON 7/10!! WHY? - PLEASE UNDERSTAND MCACC IS PUTTING GOOD DOGS ON THE ELIST at a pace we volunteers can't keep up with!! WE NEED THE COMMUNITY TO: Go to meet one of these good adoptable dogs (See location info below.). They don't deserve to die because a non-caring person dumped them in a shelter.... (Neither of these dogs is aggressive). THESE DOGS DESERVE TO LIVE!! PLEASE check out all dogs below! Call ASAP and fill out the following form if you can save 1 of their lives. https://www.thedogsavers.org/apply-to-adopt/. They are not bad dogs!! Both are Extremely STRESSED from long periods of confinement with limited opportunities for out-of-kennel time to exercise and play. The just need out of this noisy, chaotic place!! Champ #A4739056: Champ is a 2-year-old, neutered, brown and white American Pit Bull Terrier/Mix (51 lbs.). Champ came to the shelter as a stray and has been easy to handle from the start. He is described as a “super friendly”, calm boy that leans in for pets, and loves belly rubs. He is easy to take and return from his kennel and walks well on-leash. Champ has been non-reactive to dogs and has given tail wags when seeing a dog in a neighboring play yard. He will “sit” when offered treats and takes them gently. Champ’s notes say that he did “very well” with a 7-year-old during a meet and greet with a family. The shelter recommends that he meets the entire family before going home. Dutch #A4739145: Dutch is a 5-year-old, neutered, brindle Dutch Shepherd (47.9 lbs.) The person that found Dutch said he liked people and did very well with his 7-year-old daughter. He is friendly boy that will come up for pets. He loves playing fetch and will bring the ball back and drop it to play more. He has been easy to leash and return to his kennel. Dutch is very stressed from kennel-confinement and pulls on-leash at first but then settles into a nice walking pace. He knows “sit” and “down” and takes treats gently. Although he pulls towards dogs going back to his kennel, he hasn’t been reactive when a dog is in a neighboring play yard. The shelter recommends that Dutch meets all family members and that children in the home be older. PLEASE REMEMBER!! All these dogs have been living in a high-stress environment and will need time to de-stress and relax!! They will benefit from a predictable routine as well as ample exercise and time to play. Unless noted above that there is an only dog requirement, it is possible that with a SLOW INTRODCTION, any could live with another dog. Call ASAP and fill out form if interested in adopting or fostering me. https://www.thedogsavers.org/apply-to-adopt/. All dogs are at: MCACC East Valley Animal Care Center, 2630 W. Rio Salado Pkwy, Mesa, AZ 85201
