Dakota Premium Hardwoods is a leading supplier of Hardwood Lumber, Plywood, Moulding, Cabinet Hardware/Supplies and Laminate. Our Lafayette Lumber yard is seeking a dependable, hard-working, customer service-oriented team player for its Warehouse Supervisor role. The ideal candidate will have a friendly disposition toward customers and coworkers, solid work ethic, team first and can do attitude are essential. Position Summary: Assist in the day-to-day warehouse operations of the Dakota Lafayette branch from open to close every day: from Customer Service to inventory control, workflow, safety, warehouse organization, culture building, employee management to cost management. The purpose of the position is to increase operational efficiency, customer experience and safety in the warehouse while assisting in the training and supervision of employees. The ideal candidate has a granular knowledge of the Hardwood Lumber business with at least 3-years industry experience. Oversee Warehouse Management, Organization and Safety -Hands on Supervisory Role Monday through Friday, some Saturdays Approx. 50 hours per week Supervising approx. 4-5 team members. Position Requirements: Must have prior management/ supervisory experience. Prior experience in hardwood, lumber and/or plywood distribution is a necessity. Willingness to lead, learn and grow with ambition, proving to be an effective leader with a strong and dependable work ethic.
