Mr. Cooperman is a taker, he uses his employees until they have been completely depleted. His handymen are exposed to unsafe environments working around asbestos with no protective gear. His employees are constantly faced with harassments from tenants and as long as the resident is in good standing meaning paying their rent he does nothing to protect his staff. I was the 3rd property manager that was fired in 7years, he told me in the past the other managers quit because they can't stand him. When he is done using his employees he will create a hostile work environment to make them quit so he won't be sued for wrongful termination. As a landlord he will only pay attention if you are a new resident and paying the new market rent, all residents who are below market rent please expect to wait days and weeks to work request. The hot water heater went off at one property at least 3 times in 2 months and he did not care. One lady in North Hollywood has not had closets doors in over 2 years and he will refuse to install because she is below market rent. Tenants will live with broken windows for years or have to wait until the city inspector shows up before he fixes them. One kid died in the apartment just a few weeks into this lease, since his father was a co-signer he refused to break the lease and made the grieving father pay until we found a new renter. I still feel bad about this. Please do your research and don't take my word for it. He and his companies have a long list of lawsuits going back to the early 90's. Please be careful.
