Badass Singer needed - Hard Alt & Grunge

Meets

Austin TX

Description

Hey, We’re looking for a badass who write/deliver passionate & compelling melodies/lyrics. We’re an original band looking to our version of early/mid 90's alternative & grunge rock. If you play other instruments that plus. Especially guitar as we're looking for a 2nd one. We have no interest in being a cover band. Maybe a song or two no hate on cover bands just not the point of this band. We’ve got a dozen original songs at various stages. This is still a new band so room for you to put some of your flavor on it and add new songs. A few of the songs have only guitar parts along with some full songs. In some case we might have melodies already written. In some cases we’d except you to play what’s written unless of course you can write something better. We’re all strong songwriters looking for people who want to write the best songs possible without any negative ego. Ideally looking for a vocalist who can belt with distortion in a high register. We need the grit and power of most grunge/some rock singers some examples would Chris Cornell, most Led Zep, Axl higher screams, Layne Staley, ect. Looking for serous people who want to this this band as far we can. We’re 25-40: guitar/backing vocals, bass, & drums. We have solid gear including a PA. Transportation. We all recently moved to Austin. We practice at monthly lockout, Sonance Rehearsal studios in central Austin. We will send links. No links no reply, crappy phone memo recordings are fine. Where into Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, STP, Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns N' Roses, 90’s alt in general along with a bunch of other influences. Along with some modern alt /rock to old school elements: Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Hendrix, Doors, Black Keys, Slash, Wolfmother, Narrow Head, Pantera, Deftones, Metallica, Slow Crush. Thanks, Few things: Have transportation, ability to contribute contribute the rehearsal cost, Live in the area or be moving here, time to practice1-2 wk/write music.
