JOB SUMMARY The primary responsibility of the Landscape Foreman is to oversee designated landscape projects. Coordinates and oversees crew members along with creating and managing their schedules. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and competency satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job. Project Responsibilities: • Place orders for materials needed for projects. Make sure material deliveries are set to arrive as they are needed on the jobsite. For any special order materials, make sure that you have scheduled delivery on a timeline that allows the crew to continue a consistent pace of work. • Contact and line up subcontractors for projects. Ensure subcontractors are scheduled to start and finish their portion of the work in sequence with what Weller Brothers is doing on that jobsite to maximize efficiency. • Take time to review all plans with laborers making sure they are well aware of what their assignments are if you are going to be absent from a jobsite. • Oversee your landscape crew, making sure they are on track and being productive • Talk frequently with homeowners in a professional manner to ensure satisfaction. Make suggestions to homeowners on possible project additions. • Responsible for maintaining clean jobsites. Record End-of-Day Checklist each day. • Mandate a ½ hour lunch and (2) ten minute breaks when time allows. Personnel Responsibilities: • Assess what needs to be done on the jobsite each day. Set goals for your crew each day. Hold crew accountable for their productivity. Keep project designer/ownership informed regarding crew member productivity and efficiency. • Acknowledge and solve personnel issues amongst crew members • Make sure all crew member timecards are in the box by the MONDAY of the week that paychecks will be distributed. Paychecks are not issued without a completed timecard. • Hold crew members accountable for being on time to work, and doing their respective duties. • Hold crew members accountable for the way they treat company property. General Responsibilities: • Report time and productivity daily using LMN for you and your crew in order to maintain a record of progress each day. Keep and submit all receipts for material and fuel purchased. • Put in the hours necessary to make sure the job is getting done on time including weekend and holidays if necessary. • Maintain equipment. Responsible for getting all equipment to repair shops in a timely manner keeping in mind productivity. • Make decisions that are in the best interest of the company. • Other duties needed to help drive and fulfill the Weller Brothers Mission. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES • Work and communicate professionally with customers and team members. • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Highly organized and detail-oriented • Strong ability to work independently with little direction • Ability to prioritize and multitask • Excellent time management skills • Collaborative, positive attitude with eagerness to learn and assist where needed EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE • 2-5 year’s accounting experience • Associates in Accounting or related field required • Minimum of three year’s experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee must be able to perform the following tasks during a typical 8+hour day. SEDENTARY WORK: Lifting up to 10#; occasionally lifting or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Work essentially involves sitting and is considered sedentary if only a small amount of walking and standing is necessary to carry out duties. LIGHT WORK: Lifting up to 20#, frequently lifting of carrying objects up to 10#. Work is classified light if it requires walking or standing to a significant degree (regardless of weight lifted) or involves sitting most of the time with a degree or pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls. LIGHT MEDIUM WORK: Lifting up to 30#; frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 20#. MEDIUM WORK: Lifting up to 50#; frequent lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 25#. LIGHT HEAVY WORK: Lifting up to 80#; frequent lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 45#. X HEAVY WORK: Lifting up to 100#; frequent lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 80#. POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time non-exempt position. Specific schedules will be determined based on weather and general needs of the business.
