Description

Please contact me at . Looking for a FOREVER home for a 3 year old German Shepherd who has absolutely been through the ringer and needed somewhere to go immediately, unfortunately I cannot be his forever. The information I received from the man who got his owner to relinquish him was that he was tied out on a chain most of his life. We picked him up on the evening of July 3rd. I was very surprised when we pulled up and I saw that he is under weight, had matted fur, and is missing fur on the tops of his ears. Immediately he got a bath and tons and tons of brushing. During the past 4 days that I have spent with him I have not been able to leave his side at all. This poor guy is absolutely riddled with anxiety, and I’m afraid that he needs more resources than I am able to provide. He is absolutely NOT good with cats or other small prey-like animals, and for the most part has tolerated our senior puggle, Charlie. As much as I would LOVE to be able to provide the security and care that he so needs, it is not fair to my cats to be so uncomfortable in their home. He has lunged at them several times, but has not been within reach to bite them due to being on a leash. He is not neutered and will still need UTD on vaccinations. However, I do have his vaccination records. I believe that he would do best in a home with previous breed experience, no cats or other small animals, and no other dominant dog. Please send me a message if interested, please include a little bit about yourself, your pet history, and a vet reference. There will be a small rehoming fee. He will come with his brand new collar and leash and his toy. PLEASE only inquire if you are ready to commit to his veterinary and training needs.
