Now hiring for shellfish farm crew - part time to full time. Duties: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Training provided where necessary): - Harvest, sort, and grade shellfish. - Prepare and maintain clam and oyster grounds. - Construct and maintain shellfish grow out systems. - Plant and nurse seed. - Process product for market using quality control methods of safe handling. - Complete hazard analysis and critical control point documentation. - Operate vehicles, small boats, motors and other farm equipment. - Perform other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: (Training provided where necessary) - Knowledge of safety and harvest protocols. - Ability to follow instructions. - Ability and willingness to learn operations of small boats, motors and other farm equipment. - Ability to perform work under a constantly changing schedule. - Ability to work with others in team environment. - Ability to carry out duties in a safe manner using safety and harvest protocols. - Ability to perform strenuous work in difficult conditions. Qualifications: - Must have a valid driver's license - Must be able to lift 50 pounds. - Must be able to walk long distances in muddy ground. Reliable transportation a must.
