Choosing Hope is partnering with Jayne Schooler and the Community Impact Center to host a workshop to explore the impact of trauma on a child and the lifelong trajectory of physical and mental illness if left without intervention. We address the essential skills of trauma-informed care, define types of traumas, and examine the impact of trauma on typical child development. The module also introduces the learner to understand and navigate the emotional and behavioral needs of traumatized children and adults. This is done by introducing practical strategies and tools. Participants will gain knowledge and skills through application exercises. CEU’s are available.
