Ohana Fit Fest Saturday October 1st. Register now for early bird pricing. Family Event! Event proceeds will be used to help maintain public- access beach, and hiking trails on the North Shore of Kaua‘I, This is a fun family event that features an obstacle fun run/ walk approximately 5k in distance with a community expo, silent auction, and live entertainment.” Presented by the Kaua‘i North Shore Community Foundation in partnership with the Princeville at Hanalei Community Association and the Princeville Makai Golf Club. Community sponsorships are also welcome with details and information on knscf. org/fit-fest. A pre-race party and race packet pickup will take place on Friday September 30th from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Princeville Makai Golf Course. Race day starts with registration from 6:30 a.m., with the runners and walkers leaving the start on a staggered start from 8:30 a.m. The event is scheduled to end by 11:30 a.m. Runners will be timed and medals awards presented for first, second, and third places in the different age divisions. Walkers will not be timed, and no medals will be awarded. The ‘Ohana Fit Fest begins and ends at the Prince Albert Park in Princeville and will take run/walkers along the Princeville Path leading to ocean-view holes of the Makai Golf Course. The jagged figure-8 course returns participants into the Woods Course where athletes will climb, crawl, and test coordination on obstacles before finishing at the Prince Albert Park.
