Learn the basics of operating the Bridgeport Milling Machine, a tool that can be used to make an incredible variety of parts. The course includes a brief discussion on safety, basic parts of a Bridgeport, adjustments and alignment, installation of collets and tools in the spindle, speed changes, tramming the spindle to the vise and table, how to use the Digital Read Out and edge finder, and a hands-on demonstration of cutting both a standard keyway and a woodruff key seat in a shaft. Attendees should plan to take notes during this class.
