Dear friends and supporters of SVDP, It’s been a tough three years. We’ve been ill, we’ve been quarantining or, worse, we may have lost someone we knew. With the worst of COVID behind us, it’s time to come together to break bread, share a glass, and to see and celebrate one another. That is why on August 12, 2022 at 5pm, SVDP will be hosting a community dinner. This is not a fundraiser, this is not to ask for your support. This is merely to get together. We will be sharing some of the work we have been doing, what we’ve accomplished over the course of COVID, and how we helped those in need. But this is merely informational. Our purpose this evening is to see you, be seen, and enjoy everyone’s company. In that spirit, SVDP will only be charging $20 per ticket. And, if you buy one ticket and bring someone who is unfamiliar with SVDP, you will receive a ticket for that person free of charge. In a way, it’s a buy one, get one free. However, we stress that the free ticket goes to someone who may not be able to afford a ticket of their own (perhaps it’s someone you’re assisting?), someone who has heard about St. Vincent de Paul, but wants to learn more, or maybe it is someone from your work, neighborhood, or church who has never heard of SVDP and the work we do. Any person who matches the above description is eligible for a free ticket! It is honor system based, so do your best! And, please, don’t be shy. We hope to have a dinner with at least 300 of us in attendance. As such, we will be serving up a delicious meal, complete with Barbara Stevens’ BBQ Osyers! There will also be wine, beer, spirits, and non-alcoholic options for all to enjoy! Please join us at The Mary Agatha Furth Center on August 12, 2022 at 5pm. You won’t regret it.
