My mother just died and left behind 2 cats, need to rehome them ASAP

Just as the title reads, my mom (65f) recently passed away. She was sick for a while and suddenly declined, so with no time to prepare I rushed into the area from far away to be with her when she passed, and am left dealing with her apartment and the 2 cats she has left behind. I can’t take them home with me due to distance and health concerns. All of the local shelters are full, and I am at a loss. One is a male Maine coon, very friendly, about 6-8 years old. The other is a female long hair who is at least 10, and is very obese and a bit sassy(will hiss if startled, but doesn’t scratch or bite). The girl has been with my mom her whole life, and I can tell this is just horrible for her. Her weight is a huge problem, so I hope somebody out there wants to do a good deed and help her out, otherwise she may end up being euthanized. Please, if anyone knows an elderly person in search of a really sweet pair of kitties, or even just one, these cats are heartbroken without their momma(as am I) and would appreciate a loving home.
