Bring your shop experience and your automotive technology education to perform repairs and maintenance operations on our expanding fleet of cars, vans, trucks, hybrids and buses. We provide job training as well as support to advance your skills by earning ASE's. Job will also include writing of repair orders and performing maintenance and repair of electronics; disc brakes and ABS; wheel chair lift operations; MDT (mobile data terminals) servicing; and drive-ability & diagnostic assessments. Additional duties are the accurate entry of data into fleet software, various compliance reports and shop logs. This job is safety-sensitive and subject to DOT pre-employment and random drug testing, as well as a background check. Qualifications: Understand vehicle operating systems and repair procedures. Have at least 1 years automotive shop repair experience. Requires a valid California driver’s license and have or are capable of obtaining a commercial driver license. Have and maintain a clean driving record be insurable. Possess ASE certifications (for example, HVAC, Engine Performance, Brakes, etc.) Ford experience is a plus. Familiarity with fleet maintenance software. Own a toolset commensurate with the requirements of the position. Understand the use of hand tools and power tools and their safe operation. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance  instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to perform essential preventive maintenance and repair procedures. Must have a positive, service-oriented approach, be on time and maintain a neat and clean workspace. Successfully complete pre-employment and random drug screening, as well as a background check. Automotive or technical school diploma or equivalent certification is desired. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Able to obtain Commercial Driver License in the first 6 months of employment. Must have the ability to stand, stoop, bend, and stretch for long periods of time.  Must pass both DOT and range of motion physical fitness tests.  Must be able to lift 75 lb. All Vivalon employees must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and receive the vaccine booster dose as soon as eligible. Compensation and Benefits $24 - $35/hr depending on experience.
