This is a PSA post about scam/check forging. Ivan Mettier of Oakley/Castro Valley, phone number forged a check from my check book and took out $980. The check was cleared and I have never met this person or done any business with him. In my conversation with him, he acknowledges that he received a check and claimed that has “bounced”. In reality, either Ivan Mettier or his accomplice forged and cashed a $980 check from a disabled college student. Stranded without any money to access basic needs or medical care. I am now urging you to be careful of this person. He seems to also be advertising for handyman services. I have filed a police report on him.
