Thursday July 7 2022: Tissue Paper Painting - Create a one-of-a-kind piece of art: choose from ocean themed designs, popular anime characters, pop culture 80s or 90s, or simple flowers. This activity can stain clothing, participants are advised to dress in old clothing. All supplies needed for the artwork will be provided. Thursday July 14, 2022: Minecraft Hackysack Footbag -- Enter the realm of the library classroom for a special edition Minecraft S.T.E.A.M. activity! Participants will use colored felt, a dollop of hot glue and simple hand-sewing to create hackysack versions of Minecraft character heads. Thursday July 21, 2022: No-sew Octopus -Make something fun and unique, stretch your creativity, and learn new skills! Come make a squishy new friend in this week's S.T.E.A.M. activity. Participants will upcycle a t-shirt to create a squishy cuddly baby octopus! Using scissors, a mesh bath scrub/pouf, a couple of adorable felt eyes, and an old t-shirt participants will create their very own baby octopus squish to take home. Please bring an old t-shirt from home (sized YS or larger). *When choosing the t-shirt that you bring from home, please keep in mind that the size, color, and any pattern or graphic image printed on it will determine the look of your finished baby octopus.* " Thursday July 28, 2022: Frienship bracelets and paper beads PUKA necklaces. Create your own unique fashion accessories! Learn different friendship bracelet techniques and some recycle some old magazines for paper beads to create some eco-friendly Puka necklaces unlike anything you can buy in the store. Assorted beads and charms will also be available to customize your creations.
