Press release from the City of Woburn: July 1, 2022 MassDOT Project #609387 – District 4 – ADA Retrofits at Various Locations What is happening? A Live Virtual Design Public Hearing will be hosted on the MassDOT website below to present the design for the District 4 – ADA Retrofits at Various Locations project. Throughout various locations in the Cities of Methuen and Woburn, the proposed project consists of construction or reconstruction of cement concrete pedestrian curb ramps, construction or reconstruction of cement concrete and hot mix asphalt sidewalks and driveways, drainage alterations as needed, removing and resetting of curb and transition curb as required, and repairing of roadway cuts required to perform work. The work also consists of modifications to existing traffic signals and installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons. How will this affect you? No construction start date of the proposed project has been set yet since it is currently in the design stage. At this time, the project is estimated to be advertised in the Fall of 2023 and construction could begin as early as the Spring of 2024.
