Yard Supervisor will use the skills acquired as a driver to safely prepare trailers and containers for delivery, move stage yard trailers and perform yard maintenance. Our rentals include 20’ Containers, 40’ containers, and dry-van semi-trailers. The person in the role will work with customers and to resolve issues utilizing a variety of tools provided. Responsibilities and Duties • Prepare and stage Trailer/Container for pickup • Track trailer and container inventory. • Communicate with dispatch office via cell phone/text message. • Collaborate with yard mechanic to ensure tractor and trailer repair quality and safety. • Communicate with the customer directly as the point-person in the yard. • Maintain the appearance and function of the yard including snow-removal, brush-trimming, & other groundwork Qualifications • Class-A CDL License is a plus, but not a requirement • Ability to assess minor issues and independently work to complete the repair. • Good communicator • Friendly and willing to work with customers regularly. • Adaptability to safely handle unexpected situations (weather conditions, traffic, etc.) • Willing to submit to background checks and provide employment recommendations.
