Garrahan Electric, Inc. is seeking Journeymen Electricians for immediate openings in the Sacramento and Stockton areas. Applicants must be currently licensed by the State of California and be able to work with limited supervision. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Knowledge and experience with electrical circuits and wiring. • Knowledge and experience with electrical panels, transformers, disconnects, motors, etc. • Installing, bending, and removing conduit. • Installing and replacing light fixtures and lighting controls. • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference material. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. • Ability to perform mathematical calculations. • Ability to diagnose and resolve problems. • Able to work with little supervision. QUALIFICATIONS: • Journeyman level with a minimum of 5 years commercial electrical experience (required) • California State Electricians Certification (required). • Proof of Completion of Apprenticeship Program (preferred). • Working knowledge of current NEC Codes. • Ability to use trade tools, meters, technology, standard hand tools including sawzall, screwdrivers, pliers, knives, and operate any necessary equipment to complete project tasks. • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required. • Available to work 8-10 hour days, 40 hours per week, and overtime & night shifts if required. • Pass a background check, including drug test. • Valid Driver’s License. • A working vehicle. • Some travel may be required.
