Hello kats and kittens, We are in search of a singer for our rockabilly band. The current line up is two guitars, one on stand up bass and one drummer. Three of the group sing some leads and back ups, a lead vocalist would give the band some pop. We rehearse in Foothill Ranch, ( near Irvine I swear no one knows where it is) with a PA and cool neighbors. This is a friendly bunch of chaps aged late 30’s to the 60’s, no drama, no bad habits, gainfully employed or retired. All ages welcomed. Please be a Non smoker, no boozing’ during rehearsals and do your homework. If all you know is 6 obscure Elvis B sides and you take 30-40 minutes to dial your rig in, this will not be a good fit but you were fashionably dressed. Send us a song list of songs you know, tell us a little about you and share any videos you have of you in previous bands. FB, IG? We play songs from: Elvis, Stray Cats, Gene Vincent, the Clash, Johnny Cash, the Ventures, Link Wray, Buddy Holly, the Reverend Horton Heat, Eddie Cochran, CCR, Jerry Lee Lewis, the Surfaris, James Brown and more. Our song lists from past bands is extensive from pop to rock to dance including the oldies and the blues. We could do mash ups. Do you have some originals? Let’s hear them. Do you want to take a pop song and give it some rockabilly swing? Cool. We are game for some Western swing, Americana, or blue grass, jazzy big band but mostly Classic rockabilly covers with some spice thrown in.
