BACKGROUND In 1948, the sons of Joseph and Carmela Stavola founded Stavola Contracting Co., the first Stavola Company. Today, Stavola Companies remain a family-owned and operated business, consisting of four major divisions: Asphalt and Recycling Materials, Construction Materials, Contracting (heavy highway construction) and Real Estate, all located in New Jersey. What started as a company offering basement excavation and driveway paving now has 3 quarries in NJ, 2 quarries in PA, 8 asphalt plants, 3 recycling centers, and several gravel mining operations. SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE Under general supervision employee will weigh both inbound and outbound trucks of asphalt, stone, and like raw materials. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Working closely with plant operators and the customer to accurately and efficiently weigh their trucks as they enter and exit the quarry. STATUS/SHIFT • Full-time • Monday – Friday 5:30 am – 3:30; occasional Saturdays REQUIREMENTS • Good Customer service skills • Good verbal and listening communication skills • General computer knowledge • Prior truck dispatching experience helpful • Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus however not required EDUCATION • High School diploma or GED • Weighmasters license preferred but will train.
