Shift: Full Time (Days)For immediate consideration, apply here: Job DescriptionPosition Summary DetailsThe Cleaner positionprovides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area.Essential Functions·        Cleans andmaintains buildings/facilities. Performs heavy cleaning duties, such ascleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removingrubbish.·        Notifies managersconcerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to buildingoperating systems·        Establishes andmaintains effective communication and working relationships with clients,co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.·        Complies with allsafety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures establishedby the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities·        Cleaner must beflexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.Responsibilities·        Cleans buildingfloors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follows proceduresfor the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damageto floors and fixtures.·        Sometimes usingladders, dusts and washes furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; cleansceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures. Washes and replaces blinds·        Moves cabinets,boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas, either manually or byusing hand trucks·        May remove stainsfrom such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals andcleaning solutions. May also sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snowor perform other incidental seasonal tasks·        Mixes water anddetergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according tospecifications·        Strips, seals,finishes, and polishes floors·        Cleans andvacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment·        Gathers andempties trash·        Wipes and cleanstabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas·        Cleans andpolishes furniture and fixtures·        Services, cleans,and supplies restrooms·        Periodicallycleans overhead vents, dusts blinds, and polishes wood furniture·        Cleans interiorpartition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water orother cleaners, sponges, and squeegees·        Spraysinsecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation·        Sets up,arranges, and removes decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding toprepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings·        Must keepjanitor’s closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order·        Requisitionssupplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties·        Monitors buildingsecurity and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operatinghours and possibly checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards arenot created·        Drives vehicles(if required) to perform or travel to cleaning work, including vans, industrialtrucks, or industrial vacuum cleaners·        May be expectedto make basic repairs·        Miscellaneousduties as assignedQualifications·        Must be 18 yearsof age or older·        Must meet allrequirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (ifapplicable), including ten-year work history if availablePreferred Qualifications: ·        Customer ServiceExperience·        1 yr of similarwork experienceAbout UsABM (NYSE: ABM)is a leading provider of facility solutions with revenues of approximately $6.4billion and over 130,000 employees in 300+ offices deployed throughout theUnited States and various international locations.
