Description
General Contractor based in Van Nuys seeks an experienced Superintendent for high-end single family homes in Los Angeles and Newport Beach areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
-Scheduling including 3-week look ahead reports
-Working with Project Manager and Subcontractors to ensure schedule, budget and quality
-Manage in-house crews including safety tailgate meetings and oversight
-Scheduling of in-house heavy equipment and truck usage
-Working with Clients to ensure customer service, job progress and satisfaction
-Interface with inspectors, architects, engineers, and city officials as needed
-Ensuring materials are ordered on time and plans/finish schedules are updated
-Assist with Change Orders, RFIs, Billing, Close out Packages, and warranty items
Qualifications:
-Must have a 5 years of experience in the industry, ideally in southern California
-Must be knowledgeable in the technical aspects of construction and management to solve any issue or problem that may arise
-Must be a team player and motivated to learn and grow
-Must know how to multi-task
-Must have great communication skills
-Great customer service experience
-Able to read plans
-Able to work 40 hours a week on a stable schedule, and extra as needed
-Computer literate for emails and daily reports
-ProCore a plus, but not required
-Spanish
