Facilities Maintenance Technician - R1169 Compensation: $20.63 per hour, plus benefits Job Closing Date: July 21, 2022 There is one opening with the Yakima County Facilities Services Department. This position is responsible for performing skilled work to maintain, repair, and operate public buildings and secured correctional/detention facilities and equipment. Activities involve application of facility engineering principles and trade standards regarding materials, processes, priorities, equipment, and methods of accomplishing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, construction, lock repair, and other maintenance work. Experience and Training: High School Diploma or (G.E.D.) AND four (4) years experience in building maintenance including two years of journey level work in one or more of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing or electronics trades OR any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
