Paradise Drive (based in Berkeley) has a regular Wednesday casual but paying gig at a local San Rafael (Marin County) area private club. And we now need a versatile, creative, experienced and reliable drummer/percussionist to keep our commitment to do our upcoming late July gig and then several times a month there for the foreseeable future- due to our regular drummer no longer being available on Wednesdays. And this could extend to our weekend gigs as well. You can drum well at moderate volume on a smaller set for dynamics during our arranged vocals and harmony passages on most of our songs. and you can add the occasional percussion instrument or brushes(your choice) to fit our more acoustic-oriented songs. Note we have 160 songs in our current rotation, covering many different genres from jazz vocal standards to soul and classic R and B, reggae, MTV era pop-rock, rock standards, classic and more modern blues, and more. So you'll have a chance to use (and show) all your percussive chops on a wide variety of material. Please respond with either some audio or video clips of your drumming or percussion or a good description of your experience backing vocals-up front material. An initial casual meetup and rehearsal will be held around July 22, give or take a day or two. Thanks.
