Description

Got mice in your barn, shed, stable, or garage? Let working cats solve your rodent problem! The Animal Protective League's Barn Cat Program is seeking country homes with a barn, shed, or other outbuilding for fixed, vaccinated, and healthy feral/outdoor cats. Our barn cats will keep your property free of rodents and other pests for the price of daily food and shelter. Because these cats are not socialized to people, they are not adoptable as pets and are euthanized at shelters - but they make GREAT working cats. The Barn Cat Program is a win-win for both the cats and their adopters: cats enjoy safe outdoor homes with shelter and a caregiver, and adopters enjoy having healthy, sterilized cats happily tend to their rodent troubles. For more information on how the APL barn cat program works or to adopt a barn cat, visit http://www.apl-shelter.org/barn-cat-program.
